Mind-Body Constitution (Prakriti)
In Ayurveda, Prakriti refers to your unique mind-body constitution, the natural balance of energies you are born with. It determines your physical traits, mental tendencies, digestion, immunity, and even how you respond to your environment.
Prakriti is formed at conception and remains constant throughout life. It is based on the proportion of the three doshas (fundamental energies):
Vata (Air + Ether): governs movement, communication, creativity, nervous system.
Pitta (Fire + Water): governs metabolism, digestion, transformation, intellect.
Kapha (Water + Earth): governs structure, stability, lubrication, and immunity.
